Bold paint colors

I grew up in houses that always had white walls, or occasionally white walls with a little bit of wallpaper trim. When my husband and I finally got a house of our own, we were excited to do something different. We played with a number of different paint swatches and consulted with an interior designer. Ultimately, we choose our living room color scheme based on a colorful painting that we hung on one wall. The colors in the painting were mainly burnt umber and olive green. We chose to paint one wall of the living room a vibrant olive green, and to use burnt umber furniture to accessorize. The other 3 walls are white. We're so happy that we chose bright colors for our living room walls!
