You've got such a great foundation and really good ideas that's it's hard to give valuable advice.
My only concern is pairing the kilim beige with a another light accent color. If the artwork is vibrant then the accent wall will support it without competing. If the blend of colors is all soft, then the light walls may create a total washout.
Just make sure the light blue you choose has some warmth to it. Check out Benjamin Moore Cool Sky (quite a dichotomy there, huh), for example.
