A hurricane vase is not just for a wedding, although it does make a great centerpiece.
We received one from Jen's sister for Christmas and we fell in love with it immediately! The first thing we loved was its size. It's big, but not too big. The second thing we loved was the decorative ring of beads and crystals around the top of it. Great colors that work perfectly in our living room. The third thing we loved about it was its versatility. Place a votive in the center, fill it with stones, or fill it full of flowers. It all works!

Here are three great decorating ideas for your hurricane vase.
As always, we've found some excellent hurricanes to show you. Make one of these are part of your updated living room decor.
Here are three hurricanes that should work in the scenarios we've described above. They're beautiful, versatile and priced right.
We're picturing this lovely Wellington Pedestal Hurricane to the right of our fireplace, looking just like it does in this picture. Simple, warm and inviting, a great combination of glass, wood and wax.
Next is the Diablo Assymetric Glass Vase made by Clay Metal Stone and found at Accent Furniture Direct. This one is our choice for your sofa table.
The narrow base goes well at the end or corner of any type of table. Fill the inside with any color of candle, beads, stones, or whatever you can think of. The shape makes the look.
Last up is the Portofino Hurricane Vase also made by Clay Metal Stone from Accent Furniture Direct. This one is so versatile, we'd use it as a centerpiece or on the hearth.
How about the ornate base? Very elegant, yet weathered. The ridges of the glass add just enough character. We'd probably let it stand alone, except for a touch of greenery when used as a centepiece.
It's big, it's glass, it's brilliant, it's easy to accent.
Our hurricane vase is becoming our favorite decor item. One again, Jen's sister has come through we an exceptional gift that adds so much to our living room decor.
Better watch out, before you know it she'll have her own website. Maybe that's why I've never told her about Site Build It!
