So you think you'll never be able to start a business from scratch, huh? You couldn't be more wrong. Do we have a story for you!

See this little guy here? He is our world now. We've been planning for his arrival for quite some time, even though we never knew when it might happen. (More on this little guy later.)

We haven't just been preparing his nursery and buying strollers, high chairs, and cribs...we've been building a business from scratch, with no experience whatsoever.

We always knew that Jen would become a stay-at-home mom once our baby arrived. What we didn't know was how we'd replace her income. We knew we wanted to start a business, but didn't have the first clue how. We had a couple pretty stupid ideas at the beginning. (Good thing we never acted on them.) Then we just started doing searches online. We would type stuff like "make money at home" and "home based business" and see what came up.

We read a lot of reviews about a lot of different products and services and we were more confused with each review we read. What was legit? What was a scam? What would help us make money?

One day, we just happened to stumble onto something. A company that provides all the necessary tools to start a business online. They help you pick a concept (or a "niche", as we call it in "the biz"), map out your pages, and build your website. This company provides hosting, email accounts, a network to exchange links with other sites, and a forum to talk to other site owners. As a matter of fact, they take care of submitting every page on your site to all the major search engines (Google, Yahoo, MSN) and they keep track of how each page ranks.

We know we're getting a little technical here, so let's just give you the bottom line. This company provides every possible resource you could want to start a business through your own e-commerce website. You don't need any technical knowledge, whatsoever. All you need is an idea.

Obviously our idea was "living room ideas". We loved the job we did decorating our living room and we wanted to share our secrets with the world. That's our niche, but there are so many niches to choose from. This company hosts sites about juggling, stock trading, weight loss, caring for your dreadlocks, and just about anything else you can think of.

Well...when we were still debating on whether or not to take the plunge, we read several free resources that Site Sell provides to help folks start a business on the web.

Our Baby Boy Jack!

Jack came into the world on January 31, 2007 in a small town in West Virginia. We got an email from an adoption referral service, trumpeting his arrival into the world.

We gave it some thought, then decided, "Why not?" We're ready...as ready as we're going to be. So we answered the call and we're chosen to be Jack's parents.

We raced to West Virginia and met Jack for the very first time. We'd never seen anything so beautiful. Chubby little cheeks, a full head of dark hair and beautiful skin. He was perfect in every way.

The next day we left the hospital with him and waited for the paperwork to clear, allowing us to return to Ohio with him. It seemed like forever, but the word finally came and homeward bound we were.

We'd been waiting to adopt for two years and it's still just sinking in that our dream really has come true and we have a little son. With a new child comes new challenges, most importantly the financial ones.

Children aren't cheap and our home became a one income household, just like that. Well...not quite.

See we've been building our website through SBI since October and it's doing well. We bring in affiliate income and advertising income and soon we'll be writing our own e-book on living room decorating ideas.

We owe a debt of gratitude to Site Sell. It was hard work, but now we're seeing the rewards of our labor.
